posin diamonds about us
about posin owner Robin Napier

My birthplace is Charleston, West Virginia in the year 1956. My father was a military man in the United States Air Force. My parents raised seven children traveling in the military. We traveled to Hawaii, Guam, Taiwan, Mississippi, California, Wyoming, Maryland, and many other place in the United States. My parents always encouraged us kids to learn from each culture and recognize that each individual you meet will have something special you will want to remember and take with you. Also, that each culture has its validity. I am truly blessed to have parents that opened my eyes to accept new and different adventures with the knowledge that all things have breath and are blessings from above. If you haven't guessed it by now, YES, I am a Christian, a Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece, Babysitter, Mother, Aunt, Friend, Confidant, Student, Teacher, Manager, Helper, Peacemaker, Cancer Survivor, and an Owner of a Jewelry store. Most of all I am whatever the Lord wants me to be. I go where he leads me. I ask very little in return from this world. I choose to be a servant for him.

My love for jewelry began overseas at the ripe age of 2. I would go shelling for small shiny objects along the shoreline in Hawaii with my two brothers and mom and dad. I can say with confidence that my love for jewelry was not a coincidence, it was by design. I have always loved shiny objects, and even more than that, I have always loved all the different precious stones, rocks, and gems that were abundant thousands of years ago and are still in their raw form today. It is so amazing how a Gemologist / Lapidary expert, can take a dull, rough, odd shaped piece of rock, and drill our a diamond or a precious gem for the rough. It tickles my heart to see such wonderful pieces that God has created and how man can polish it up for its beauty to show through. That's why I love jewelry as much as I do. Each piece of jewelry we sell is unique and is made with love for each individual the Lord sends us.

In 2007, a friend located a jewelry store for sale in the newspaper. We were curious and so we stopped in to the location and just looked around. It was special the moment we stepped into the building. They did not have a lot of jewelry, but they had what is missing in most other jewelry stores that I have been in and purchased from, they had Christians working as sale associates. They greeted me and asked to help me without making me feel uncomfortable. They asked me about how my day was going, what brought me in, and most of all, they let me just wonder around so I could just enjoy the atmosphere. It was so pleasant and comfortable. I just had to be a part of what was surrounding me. It felt right! It was a place to show God's jewelry and to be with people who enjoy it as much as I do.

So we purchased Posin Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in August of 2007 from Ed Yackenovich, who previously owned the store and been a fixture in the jewelry business for over 25 years. His expertise is still with us at Posin. From time to time he steps in to see his customers. He does appraisals and gives a lot of input on new designs or repairs. His knowledge & experience is still being utilized. We have over 60 years of experience in the jewelry business. We are members of JBT and in good standing.

The rest is history.
